The Purchasing Division of the Finance Department is responsible for providing centralized procurement services and warehouse operations to effectively support the City organization in compliance with state and local regulations. The Purchasing Office is located at 331 South Franklin on the 4th floor of the Frederick Turnage Administrative Complex. Office hours are 8:30 am through 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
Bids: The City formal bid solicitations are advertised on the City of Rocky Mount website and advertised in area newspapers.
Surplus Equipment: Surplus equipment typically includes cars, trucks, heavy/small equipment and various other items that are no longer useful to the City workforce. The City of Rocky Mount disposes of surplus equipment and other items using the GovDeals on-line auction services.
