Beal Street Square
Beal Street Square Apartments is set to begin construction in May 2016 on a four (4) block area of the Happy Hill neighborhood starting at the corner of Sunset Ave and Thomas St. Third Wave Housing will develop eighty (80) affordable housing units, twenty (20) one-bedroom units and sixty (60) two-bedroom units. Beal Street Square will also include a community building for all residents.

The Ravenwood Crossing project proposes redevelopment of the former Clairmont Apartments site into eighty (80) one to three bedroom townhome units. The newly constructed townhome units will provide affordable, safe workforce housing in the South Rocky Mount neighborhood.

Holly Street Duplexes
Construction by the Rocky Mount/Edgecombe Community Development Corporation (RMECDC) was recently completed on four (4) Holly Street Duplexes with eight (8) rental units in February 2016. The duplexes are available to eligible low to moderate income families. Plans are in place for an additional four (4) Holly Street Duplexes or eight (8) rental units within the next 24 months.

Russell Jackson Village
Russell Jackson Village consisted of 2 phases. The 1st Phase is two (2) two-bedroom (4 rental units) Rocky Mount Housing Authority (RMHA) Public Housing Duplexes. The 2nd Phase is four (4) affordable one-bedroom duplexes (8 rental units) develop by Southeastern NC Community Development Corporation (SENCCDC, Inc.). Russell Jackson Village is named after the SENCCDC, Inc. recently retired chairman, Mr. Russell Jackson. Russell Jackson Village was completed in March 2016.
