The heart of city government operations in Rocky Mount is the 119,000 square foot City Administrative Complex. Located downtown on South Franklin Street between Nash and Hammond Streets, the facility was completed in 1982. Constructed at a cost of $8 million, it was entirely debt-free upon completion. The white stone complex houses all city department main offices, as well as the police department.
