Since 2013, the city of Rocky Mount has been among numerous North Carolina governments to earn recognition by the North Carolina City & County Communicators (NC3C). The purpose of NC3C is to encourage professional development and networking among local government communications professionals. The organization was formed in March 2007 and is made up of government professional communicators from around the state.

“This was one of the most successful award programs we’ve had in a while. These communicators used tried and true methods, as well as cutting-edge technology to produce some great work,” said NC3C past president and Pitt County director of public information & media relations, Kiara Jones, during the 2015 NC3C Spring Conference. “It was truly an honor to preside over the program again this year, and I know these folks will continue to produce great, quality work that will reach their local citizens.”
