The City of Rocky Mount Recreation Services division has two Community Centers open for public use: Booker T. Washington Community Center and South Rocky Mount Community Center. Booking a room is easy:

- Full payment amount due at time of booking. Payment can be made by credit card, check, or money order. No cash.
South Rocky Mount Community Center
About:
The South Rocky Mount Community Center is located at 710 Recreation Drive. Built in 1979, the Center features amenities that attract both the young and old for educational, physical, and social needs. For the sports fanatics, we have a full length indoor basketball court, outdoor basketball courts, splash pad, play ground, football field, and a baseball field.
Additionally, two banquet rooms are available for rental for those who need to socialize every once in a while! They provide great spaces for family reunions, wedding receptions and various other events. Our banquet rooms rent for a minimum of two hours.
During the summer, bring your family out to enjoy the Spray Park adjacent to the Community Center.

- Gymnasium
- City resident (requires a two hour minimum) – $150.00; Non-resident: $225.00
- City resident – 1/2 day, or four hours $500.00; Non-resident: 1/2 day, or four hours $750.00
- City resident – Full day, or eight hours $1,000.00; Non-resident: Full day, or eight hours $1,500.00
- Meeting Rooms
- Large Rental Room – City resident: $90.00 per hour; Non-resident: $135.00 per hour
- Medium Rental Room – City resident: $50.00 per hour; Non-resident: $65.00 per hour
- Small Rental Room – City resident: $30.00 per hour; Non-resident: $45.00 per hour
- Meeting Room Package (All three rooms and requires a two hour minimum) – City Resident: $150.00 per hour; Non-resident: $225.00 per hour
- Facility Packages
- 1/2 day or 4 hours – City resident: $1,000.00; Non-resident: $1,500.00
- Full day or 8 hours – City resident: $1,900.00; Non-resident: $2,500.00

Booker T. Washington Community Center
About:
The historic Booker T. Washington Community Center. located at 747 Pennsylvania Avenue, is a 4.2 acre site located off the Atlantic Avenue Exit of Highway 64. There is also a computer lab, equipped with internet access and the latest in Microsoft Software. The computer lab hours are 10:00am – 8:00pm, Monday thru Friday.
This facility caters to gatherings of all sorts, with two banquet rooms that are available for rental. These rooms provide great space for family reunions, wedding receptions and various other events. Our banquet rooms rent for a minimum of two hours. Located near the Center is the Stith-Talbert Park, which offers a walking trail, baseball field, basketball courts, and a playground.
